ASRock 760GM-HDV

What Recent Buyers Report
This motherboard is no flick, cheap, and reliable. Despite having the older BIOS implementation, the configuration is pretty easy to handle. It is the best and last am3+ that you can find under 70 bucks. It is a basic motherboard to handle your old fx 8370 builds. Also, it does not support UEFI and USB 3.0. Its overclocking isn’t bad but not that good also. The motherboard was recommended by many of the buyers. And of course, it is really a great choice if you are not in need of the 4 SATA ports and a decent GPU.
Our Review
ASRock 760GM-HDV comes with a 4+1 Power Phase design and supplies the CPU with up to 125W. It supports Dual Channel DDR3 unbuffered memory. The solid capacitors it holds ensure a more stable, and long lifetime. This entry-level motherboard has ELNA audio capacitors with only 3uA current leakage. It supports both AM3+ and Am3 eight-core CPUs. However, the 4 x SATA2 ports that it holds are not really useful because of the messy layout. It supports Plug N Play, and Untied Overclocking Technology too.
Who Will Use This Most
As AMD FX 8370 is an older build and works smoothly for daily uses, this motherboard totally supports that. However, it is not that great for gaming. You can get fast and reliable performance for regular workloads.
Key Features & Downsides
Key Features: ASRock 760GM-HDV offers 2 x DDR3 memory slots with 32GB max memory, and 1800 (OC) MHz DRAM. It includes 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 Slot, 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 Slot, 1 x PCI Slot, 4 x SATA2 3.0 Gb/s ports & 3 x 4-pin fan connectors. It has a 4 + 1 Power Phase design and PCI express x1 Gigabit LAN 10/100/1000 Mb/s.
Downsides: 760GM-HDV has a messed-up layout for which you will likely lose the usefulness of the 4 SATA2. It does not have USB 3.0 support.
- Cheap
- Easy set up
- Easy assembly
- Manual is a little hard to read
- Older platform
- Older BIOS Implementation
Final Thoughts
This board is really cheap and you really can not complain about its drawbacks as it offers as much as you’re paying for. However, the fx build will support and be compatible with 760GM greatly.
ASUS 970 PRO GAMING/AURA

What Recent Buyers Report
ASUS 970 PRO GAMING/AURA comes with a magnificent look and build. It has proven itself to be a great overclocking motherboard. It is totally a perfect mobo for AMD Zen. You can see the compatibility once you set it up. It is faster and cooler during the workloads. This one keeps it cool but it depends on the cooling system you’re using. It uses a 7+1 power phase design rather than an 8+1 power phase. However, it does not make any difference since the power from VRM stays super clean. Most of the buyers recommended it for the fx processors and they were pretty determined to buy this again in the future. Moreover, they stated that you won’t be at a disadvantage if you buy this. ASUS 970 PRO, another most recommended motherboard to be reviewed here. It is also the best fit for beginners.
Our Review
970 PRO is an impressive gaming motherboard that handles overclocking perfectly. The 7+1 power phase design it holds provides a super clean and powerful input. It will work great if you make sure to have a big case that holds lots of air. It will not only keep itself cool but also the whole system. Also, it can withstand the heat yet provide satisfactory performance. It supports not only Nvidia SLI but also AMD CROSSFIRE technology. This is another solid motherboard from Asus. The way it runs is flawless and this board also supports the fastest range of DDR3 that you can’t help but look forward to. Moreover, it has the AURA sync RGB that makes illumination magnificent. The UEFI BIOS has a familiar configuration with many brands. You can feel that the connectors and headers are high-end. The overall performance is great.
Who Will Use This Most
ASUS 970 pro Gaming/Aura is a gaming motherboard. However, it can handle overclocking easily. That’s why OC enthusiasts can rely on it for better performance. It can withstand intense workloads too. You can say this motherboard is an allrounder.

ASRock 880GM-LE FX

What Recent Buyers Report
ASRock 880GM has only 8GB of max memory yet it does a good job during working or even gaming. It has great OC software that lets you overclock the CPU both from the desktop and the BIOS. There is this software that helps you monitor the CPU wattage as well as change the CPU fan speed. It works pretty well and is a solid performer. It is cheap and comes with ASRock XfastLAN which is a perfect optimizer above all. This one even makes every download super fast. The XUSB is another ultra-fast software that speeds up the transfer within a minute. However, there are no SATA3 whereas a slightly unnecessary thing like an IDE port exists. In case you need IDE, you have to appreciate that but still many of the users weren’t that into it.
The motherboard itself isn’t that super great yet the buyers were overall happy with their choice. Of all things, this motherboard works well with several options and it is solid & well-built too.
Our Review
ASRock 880GM-LE FX is of solid and sturdy build that you can tell with just one look. It has some good overclocking options and you can use it easily. Even with only 8GB ram, you can use this for everyday use. However, it is not that of great use in our eyes. Because you can’t do many things you want with this much memory. And you’ll have to consider your memory every time you want to download or try something new. However, if you don’t want to go on a higher price point, need an IDE, then it is suitable for you. ASRock is the third largest motherboard maker and their products do a great job at a good price point. This motherboard has new features and also performs well.
Another thing is, even if you turn off the computer and the power plug is plugged, the motherboard delivers power to the USB ports. So, it is good in a way and also bad in another way. It can help you charge your phone. However, it wastes much power if you’re not charging anything. That’s why you have to make sure to unplug the power plug after you turn the computer off.
Who Will Use This Most
ASRock 880GM-LE is good for everyday use and since it has some good OC options, enthusiasts can look into it.

Final Thoughts
ASRock 880LE-FX motherboard does have a cheap price but you can face some complications on the way. If the review is in your favor, then it is surely a great one for you otherwise not.
ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0

What Recent Buyers Report
ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 does everything its advertising says. Though it is non-high-end, it is fantastic. It is easy to install. And it is far better than its previous version. The performance is nowhere near bad. In other words, it is awesome at its outputs. Some of the users had issues with their memory slots. Other than that, it is a great choice at this cheap price point. However, there are instances of system freezing. So, you have to be cautious while buying this. And of course, always order your PC parts from trustworthy dealers. It comes with a comprehensive manual, unlike some hard ones.
Our Review
The motherboard supports am3+ sockets and 8-core CPUs. So, if you need an am3+ motherboard, you can look into it. It performs amazingly and comes with a 4 + 1 Power Phase Design. It supports ‘PLUG N PLAY’ too. You can boot the BIOS and easily tweak the settings of this mobo. However, it is no to the overclockers as it has no options on it. Moreover, there are no VRM heatsinks. As a result, the problems of overheating will arise. So, to avoid those complications look for other mobos if you need an OC board. It shows no problems with both Windows & and Windows 10. It is a great one for a value build. Moreover, it supports both SLI and CROSSFIRE technology.

MSI 760G-P43

What Recent Buyers Report
MSI 760G-P43 (FX) is a well-made motherboard for lower-range PC builds. It offers numerous connectivity options. The SATA ports are more than sufficient and the parts are better than it looks like. It is an awesome Plugin and Go motherboard. The users are satisfied with their prices. Because the price to performance ratio is perfect and it has enough connectivity & many other options to choose from. MSI motherboards are always stable unless there are any exceptions. The assembly is simple and the installation is easy as well. The overall good motherboard it is. It was also mostly recommended to buy again.
Our Review
The 760G-P43 (FX) is an excellent base plate for the price it has. The performance is also on point. However, it is a perfect duo with this CPUs another counterpart from AMD, FX 6300. This mobo has expanded BIOS even if it is old. MSI never disappoints its users and in this case, it also didn’t. The connectivity is great but the repetition of the SATA plugin and out makes the ports lose. And, this is not something pleasant. However, MSI 760G is perfect and worth the price you’re giving.
Who Will Use This Most
This motherboard is also a no to the overclockers. But you can use it for regular use and gaming.
Key Features & Downsides
Key Features: MSI 760G-P43 (FX) comes with 4 x DDR3 DIMM memory slots with 32GB max memory, and 1866 (OC) MHz. It features 1 PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot, 3 PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots, and 2 PCI slots. 760G-P43 has 6 x SATA2 connectors, 6 x USB 2.0 headers, and 2 x fan connectors.
Downsides: The motherboard is worn out over time.
- Awesome Price to performance ratio
- BIOS with many options
- More than enough connection ports
- Not great overclocking
- The ports are easily loosened
Final Thoughts
Though this mobo has some flaws, you can not ignore its performance and other cool options.
